Saint Tryphon at the Aleksandrović winery

Aleksandrović Winery solemnly marked the most important wine-growing day of the year, the glory of St. Tryphon. On this day, we celebrate the patron saint of all winemakers and winegrowers. According to an old belief, winegrowers go to the vineyard for the first time in the new calendar year and start pruning the vines. After the morning pruning and cutting of the celebratory cake, the guests and friends of our house were welcomed to the premises of our winery.

The premiere: A brand new Vizija from vintage 2013

Autumn is the right time for red wines, and winery Aleksandrović has prepared another surprise for all wine lovers. This October, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a brand new wine from the winery Aleksandrović, made up of 70% Cabernet Franc and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, which will retain the well-known name VIZIJA.

Vizija is a wine that is characterized by intense scents of ripe wild fruit and spicy character. The taste is full and complex, followed by a fine tannic structure with aromas of dried plums and vanilla, that emerged during several years of maturing and nurturing.

The harvest has started

In late August, we began to harvest grapes in our 75 hectares of vineyards. We started harvesting the pinot noir variety, from which you will have the opportunity to enjoy the new sparkling wine in a few years. Seven days later, we continued with the harvest of white varieties. And if we can judge by the early indicators and the words of our chief oenologist Vladan Nikolic, white wines from the 2015 harvest will be of superior quality.

In early October we began the vintage of red varieties Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. During the harvest, over 50 workers work every day in our vineyards.
