Aleksandrović winery at the prestigious competitions

Aleksandrović wines presented at ProWein 2018

A wine delegation made up of ten wineries from various wine regions of Serbia, presented their products, ambitions and hopes at the largest and most important world wine fair ProWein in Düsseldorf.

Winery Aleksandrović, Aleksic, Budimir, Erdevik, Despotika, Lastar, Rubin, Trivanovic, Virtus, Zvonko Bogdan presented the best wines that they have on a unique stand of 40 square meters, under the flag of Serbia, on March 18-20, with the help of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

– The quality of Serbian wines definitely deserves to be presented at one of the most important wine fairs in the world, and I hope that next year the national booth will be at least twice as big with more wineries from Serbia presenting their wines. At this year’s fair, we strengthened our relations with partners from Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Switzerland, who had the opportunity to invite their customers and introduce them to our wines even better. On the other hand, we made several new contacts, and some of the most interesting ones, believe it or not, are from Asia – says Aleksandar Marinković, marketing manager of this winery.

Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits

Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits

Aleksandrović wines were presented to importers, sommeliers and wine lovers from Hong Kong, China and the surrounding countries for the second time this year.

Many of them were speechless after they tried wine from Serbia for the first time! It will take much more work and effort to acquire the image of a world-renowned wine country, but it is good to know that we are on the right track.

A great triumph in Japan

We celebrated numerous successes at international competitions in 2016, which was the most successful year for the Aleksandrović winery.

The beginning of 2017 was marked by great news from the Far East, where great success was achieved at the SAKURA 2017 competition of all wines currently present on the Japanese market:

Triumf Gold – GOLD MEDAL

Regent Reserve – GOLD MEDAL

Pedigree Grand Reserve – GRAND GOLD MEDAL

Božidar Aleksandrović, owner of the winery: “It’s been almost two and a half decades since a bottle of Triumph saw the light of day again.” I never dreamed that one day he would return to the village of Vinča, at the foot of Oplenac, with a gold medal from faraway Japan. This is the success of a team of people who invested a lot of effort, knowledge and patience. Serbia has a lot to be proud of.”

Aleksandrović wines presented in Tokyo

Wines from Serbia, from the heart of Šumadija, were presented on March 11 to selected sommeliers and restaurateurs from Tokyo, at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia.

Thanks to our partner, the MAKOTO company, a wine tasting from the premium line of the Aleksandrović winery was held.

The aromas and flavors of the wines from Šumadija have intrigued Japanese wine lovers, known for their refined senses.

The first chapter is written. Serbia has something to be proud of!

Our team sends you greetings from Japan.

Rodoslov Grand Reserve 2012 brought gold from Italy

Rodoslov Grand Reserve 2012 wine from Aleksandrović winery won the gold medal at the recently concluded Concorso Internazionale Emozioni dal Mondo: Merlot e Cabernet Insieme in Italy, thus repeating the success of two years ago when the 2009 vintage won gold.

Winery oenologist Vladan Nikolić stated that he is very satisfied with the achieved success and noted that this award is of great importance because, in addition to Rodoslov from the 2009 vintage, his successor from 2012 has also won gold.

The next vintage of the “large reserve” is in 2013, and it will appear on the market in the second part of 2018.

4 gold medals at the prestigious German MUNDUS WINI evaluation

At the prestigious wine evaluation, “Grand International Wine Award Mundus Vini”, held in Germany, the Aleksandrović winery achieved great success by winning gold medals for all four wines that participated in the competition.

Trijumf Gold 2015 – gold medal

Trijumf Barrique 2012 – gold medal

Regent 2012 – gold medal

Rodoslov 2009 – gold medal

A great and historic success for Serbia, Šumadija and the Aleksandrović winery. The wines in this competition were evaluated by more than 150 world wine experts from 38 different countries. Serbia has something to be proud of!

The third Festival of Šumadija wines

On Saturday, June 11, in the beautiful surroundings of the Royal Winery, in Topola, at the foot of Oplenac, the third Šumadija Wine Festival took place. Over 50 wines from 12 Šumadija wineries were presented to wine lovers, and the emphasis was on the wines produced by the 2015 harvest. A particularly significant part of the festival was the masterclass where Darrel Joseph, an eminent wine journalist of the prestigious magazine Decanter and a respected wine expert, shared his impressions of Šumadija wines.

During his lecture, Darrel particularly emphasized our wine Rodoslov 2009, as an exceptional wine, the fruit of the Šumadija climate, which also pleasantly surprised him.

The second day of the festival, that is, the day of the open doors of Šumadija wineries was reserved for visits to the wineries themselves.

Šumadija wines in the world wine museum in Bordeaux

With great public fanfare, on June 1, the wine museum in Bordeaux – called La Cité du Vin – was officially opened. The opening ceremony was also attended by Božidar Aleksandrović, owner of the Aleksandrović winery and president of the Šumadije Winemakers’ Association. As many as 21 wine labels from Šumadija are in the permanent exhibition of the World Museum in Bordeaux. Visitors to the World Museum of Wine will have the opportunity to get to know Šumadija wineries such as the Royal Winery, Aleksandrović, Radovanović, Despotika, Arsenijević, Art Wine, Stari Hrast, Rogan and DeLena. The wines of these wineries found themselves on permanent display thanks to the results at the most prestigious competitions.

“This impressive architectural creation covers 13,000 square meters and it is estimated that in the first year alone, it will be visited by almost half a million tourists, out of the approximately six million visitors who visit Bordeaux annually. It is a great honor that Šumadija is part of that world exhibition, as a region that until a few years ago was only mentioned in the world of winemaking” – says Božidar Aleksandrović.

Aleksandrović wines at Vinitaly 2016

Vinitaly, one of the largest wine fairs in the world, was held this year at the beginning of April in Verona, for the 50th time. Unlike previous years, the anniversary of Vinitaly was completed by the Serbian wine representation, which for the first time at this fair presented its selected wines to wine lovers from all over the world.

This was a great opportunity to present our wines Trijumf, Harizma, Trijumf Barrique, Trijumf Rose, Varijanta, Trijumf Noir, Vizija and Regent. We have been very pleasantly surprised by the great reactions from wine lovers, and our Pinot Noir seems to have garnered the most sympathy. We are particularly pleased by the fact that Serbian wines are attracting more and more attention both at major world fairs and at prestigious international competitions.

Gold for Regent in Italy

At the competition, specializing in cabernet and merlot grape varieties Emozioni dal Mondo Merlot e Cabernet Insieme, which has been held for several years in Bergamo, Italy, our red wine Regent won a gold medal. A wine that will only show its potential in a year, has already won over the judges at this competition.

The triumph of Serbian sparkling wines in London

At the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2015 held in London, Aleksandrović Winery won two golds (Trijumf Noir 2009 and Trijumf Chardonnay 2009), a national trophy as well as an award for one of the best sparkling wines (best in class) for Trijumf Chardonnay 2009.

This competition represents the most respected and strictest competition of champagnes and sparkling wines around the world and the fact that Tom Stevenson, as one of the most respected experts in this field, personally evaluates each wine gives exceptional importance.

As a reminder, Aleksandrović winery is the first Serbian winery that started producing sparkling wines according to the traditional champagne method in 2008. Today, our country is increasingly present on the wine maps of the world, and Trijumf sparkling wines drew attention to Serbia as a country with great potential for the production of top-quality sparkling wines.
